Thank you for visiting my "Charities
Dear to my Heart" page. Although I have no personal involvement with any
of the three charities listed below I am compelled to share them with you, as
each one is significant and dear to me. Please read the brief descriptions
and visit their websites. I hope you will consider adding one of these
organizations to your list for the future.

Donnah's
Fund
Two wonderful
former clients, and now friends of mine, Ira and Sara Jane Drescher lost
their daughter to domestic violence. They established Donnah's Fund to
keep her memory alive.
The goal of Donnah’s Fund is to empower
domestic violence victims to live safely and independently. It will help them
establish safe households for themselves and their children, with support for
housing payments and deposits, furnishings and other related items.
The Wendy Marx Foundation for Organ Donor
Awareness
Wendy Marx was like
a member of my family growing up. Wendy,
who had two liver transplants due to chronic hepatitis B, passed away in
2003 while waiting for another liver.
The Wendy Marx Foundation for Organ Donor
Awareness was established in 1990 with
the support of Olympic champion Carl Lewis. Their single
purpose: to increase public awareness of the desperate need for organ
donations. Each day, 19 people in the United States die waiting
for a transplant.
